I love shopping for OFFICE SUPPLIES
I just spent 40 minutes browsing in my neighbourhood Staples. I didn't need anything, but I love looking. The 24 pk of multi-coloured Sharpies almost got me, but I restrained myself. They had a great selection of paper clips and some of the coolest staplers I've ever seen.

I think I just found my inner geek.

1. I am an office supply store junkie. I think it appeals to some
fantasy that I have which involves actually living an orderly organized life (which I do not).....all that stuff is just fun to look at.

Container Store is the same way.

2. Those are cool places, aren't they, my dear yvr girl?
I like to wander in them too...

But, you're NO geek!

3. Pencils. Dixon Ticonderogas and legal pads...
the really nice ones with the stiff backs and the holes in the margins...:loveya:

Office supply stuff gets me hot and bothered too. Perhaps I suffered from pencil box neglect in elementary school.

4. You sound like the type of person I would enjoy
spending a day with. I can go "window shopping" like nobody's business. Also, I all of a sudden get needs when I am in any office supply store. I never knew I needed a new toner cartridge for the word processor I don't even own until I see it and think how cool it would be to have one. I'm such a sucker for school supplies and office supplies.

5. Would it make you really jealous if I told you...
That I am a General Manager of a Staples?

BTW, if you want to get a laugh from any Staples employee, then after you find what you're looking for, say "That was easy!" We've never heard that one before. :eyes:

I get 12% off, one week a quarter. But I get to go to the paper clip aisle and get my fix anytime I need to.

8. That's weird
Does that include big ticket items like computers?

My 2nd job is in a store, and we get a 40% discount.

9. On computers, I get
zilch. Zip. Nada.

It is an extremely well run company, however.
