Italian Fascist era Propaganda film screens in Boston Mass tomorrow night:
For anyone interested in seeing first hand how a Fascist regime tries to "sell" the masses on a program of colonialism and conquest...this is a must see!

Channel Zero returns to the Coolidge Corner Theater Thursday December 4th 7:30pm
"SCIPIO AFRICANUS" (1937)
Benito Mussolini's answer to "Triumph of the Will"!

What better way to sell the masses on a program of conquest and imperialism in North Africa, than to produce a lavish propaganda epic about the Second Punic War?!
It's Imperialism Italian Style!
A film propagandizing Italy's manifest destiny to conquer and colonize North Africa!
Thursday December 4th 7:30pm
Admission $5.50
Coolidge Corner Theater Video Screening Room
290 Harvard Street
Brookline Ma.

1. Thanks-just got back from Rome, and would love to see it
Thankfully, it seems Berlusconi and his nuovi fascisti aren't very popular.

then just possibly some of the other notable propaganda films of the Fascist era will be revived by Channel Zero.
Some notable Italian directors got their start shooting propaganda films for Mussolini Roberto Rossellini <sp> Michalangelo Antonioni and Vittorio De Sica to name but three.
Hopefully this a link to a review of tonight's film:
