This thread is a shout out to DUer RandomKoolZip for introducing me to the phrase "snakes on a plane". I've come across many sayings for the first time here on DU - mihop, lihop, freeper, bfee, jumping the shark, tweety... What terms have you been introduced to while surfin at DU?

Heard S. Jackson discussing this on Fresh Air, or I would've thought this was some wacky DU in-joke (like Morans). But he said he "would have thought that was cool when he was a kid".

Okay then.

I never heard mihop, lihop before here. Used "jumped the shark" for years, before the term itself did, and I always attributed BFEE to Bartcop.

I wanted to look up Rachel Blanchard's character name and this is what turned up:

Who wouldn't want to see that movie. it's going to be a freak movie talked about for years, huge opening weekend, good second weekend, falls off completely after that, becomes cult classic. I can't wait to see it!
