And then there is Kinkade's proclivity for "ritual territory marking," as he called it, which allegedly manifested itself in the late 1990s outside the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim.

Or rather trying to capture that feeling of Norman Rockwell. People want this ideal world where innocence and eternal bliss exist forever, just like in NR paintings and Leave it to Beaver reruns. Thomas Kinkade provides that in his saccharine sweet paintings where you just know family fights, drug problems, gays, libruls and the like don't exist. It's an escape from reality right into stupidity.
