I found 2 songs that I haven't heard in well over 20 years
on the music service I found--Baby I need your lovin by Carl Carlton and The Wikka Rap by The Evasions, both hard to find and don't appear on many compelations.

I could use a break--Dad is in the hospital for hip replacement surgery. Spent the weekend with Mom, who is not in the best of health, picking up the house and running errands. Insurance won't pay for Dad to stay in a nursing/rehab facility for some days until he is better able to take care of himself. Didn't feel like doing much when I returned home last evening--should have gone to the supermarket. I have chores awaiting, and I did very little.

Take care of yourself while you're young and fit 'cause it's too late when you're old.

8. Carl Carlton's version
is from 1980. One of the best versions I heard, and the CD is out of print, is by Dreamhouse.

4. Sorry to hear about your parents
and that you had to put your life on stop to help them. More than understandable though. I might have asked before - but can't your brothers help? Seems to me like you are the one always taking care of them. You are a good man.

:loveya:

5. One does
the youngest one does, but his weekends are taken with Renaissance Festival rehearsal and the Festival itself. He'll be limited from March to June. The middle one is a butthead, he still has...issues with them. He had to pass on an RPG game over the weekend, so he was less than happy. If he brings it up, I'll remind him that the weekly RPG's are for geek college guys and 20-something engineers who don't party. He's now 40, he doesn't have an excuse.

6. So still you end up having the most responsibilities
are you having to take care of your dad when he comes out of the hospital?

7. Just heard
he's not leaving today. The MD and social worker are trying to get him to a rehab facility.

To answer, I'd rather not. I have severe father issues.

10. Found another one
The Moment of Truth by Whitney Houston. Got some airtime in the early '90's, but seems that it was never put on any of her albums. Pity, it's a wonderful slow/easy dancing song.

(figure that I'd kick this rather than start a new one. )

11. Whitney Houston had some good songs
too bad she rather does drugs and I don't know what else than focusing on her music.

12. Unless she gets her act together
her music days are over. I was checking my CD and cassette collection, I was surprised to see that Whitney has the most presence (solo female singers), Madonna is second. I thought it was vice versa.

13. I have a collection of Whitney's songs
double CD. I like it. I like her 80s songs and her 90s. I esp. like "My Love Is Your Love".

17. Cool.
I have the day off and all the tree branches have been picked up out of the yard. I'm thinking about driving around the county to check out tornado damage this morning but haven't decided yet-gas prices are going up and I don't want to be wasteful. Besides, some areas are blocked right now.
