He's now got a good-paying part-time computer job doing...somethingorother... for the university. He's a student, and has partial custody of his daughter, and this works around both his class and custody schedule!

I love jobs that people describe as...somethingorother... I have one of those jobs.
I hope it all works out well. Sounds like a bit of a time crunch.

Especially that it is good paying. One deterent to me getting a part time job to get caught up on bills is that most part time jobs pay poorly. It just seems kind of pointless to work for half ones full time wage or less in addition to full time work.
