We're in clusterfuck heaven with all of the crazy assed shit our loved ones do.

It's BOTH set of families, they're ALL nuts!

Not institutionalized or anything but pretty whacky.

Any other couples feel like like an Island (As in not Nutty Island) surrounded by a sea of insanity?????

2. Me
DH and I are an oasis of calm in an otherwise nightmarish family situation.
Let's talk about it, shall we?

DH: Without TMI, his relatives could make Gandhi swear. Passive aggressive, truly unpleasant. I love my SIL, but I can't deal with the rest of them for more than about 15 minutes at a time.

Mine: I can't even see my family, or I end up with the migraine from hell. They're still fighting about stuff that happened 40 years ago that nobody can change. They're seriously into vengeance. When they're not fighting, they're kissing up to the Relatives With Money. I'm not kidding. I haven't seen them or spoken to them in 12 years, and it's been the happiest period of my life.

3. Yes, but living thousands of miles away from them
It helps. Sad thing is, I still miss them and spend too much time thinking about them.

4. Oh, yeah, and it's not just immediate families.
Both of our extended families (Aunts, uncles, cousins) are nuts also! And they all want to be close to us!

However, I must hasten to add, Hubby and I both take Zoloft!
