Who here has seen the movie "IT"?
I saw that movie when I was about 6 for the first time. And from then on I have been mortally afraid of clowns. I know some people who also saw it and hate clowns for it. Isn't it strange how a movie can affect someones outlook on a person/thing for life? If only we had a preview for the 2000 election and ensuing events to show people when they were young...heh that would be a great way to deter irrational repubs from voting for Dumbya.

4. I even had the DVD...
Lon Chaney said (paraphrase) that there is nothing scarier than a clown after midnight.

11. I was afraid
of clowns when I was small but I read the book and it unnerved me. Sometime after I had read it I came downstairs in the middle of the night to get a snack and one of my boys had left a partially deflated helium balloon. As I rounded the couch the breeze I created caused it to rise just enough so I could see it. I was thankful that before I came down for that snack I had gone to the bathroom. Scared me more than anything ever has, except maybe Republicans.

12. Haha!
That's one of my favorite SK books, aside from The Stand & The Dark Tower series. I was actually surprised at how well the made-for-TV movie turned out. Tim Curry was truly frightening, and Harry Anderson & Richard Thomas were perfect in their roles. The kids that were cast also delivered solid performances.

That being said, I've always disliked clowns. Not scared of them, really. They just annoy me.
