We love pho at our house--something comforting about the broth, the rice noodles, the mushrooms, the holy basil leaves, the squirts of lime and sprinklings of bamboo shoots. Then there are the additions of chilis. Mmmm.

I've tried making it several times. But the recipes hopelessly inadequate. Can't beat a real Vietnamese restaurant.
