Poll question: OK, what kind of energy drink are you imbibing? |
|
Not necessarily this minute, mind you, as you might have a difficult time falling asleep - but what energy drink would I be most likely to find in your fridge?

4. Does that really qualify? |
|
It's got caffeine, sure, but these other drinks I listed all have taurine, arginine, L-carnitine, a hefty dose of B vitamins, ginseng, and/or guarana along with caffeine.

3. It is all just a bunch of sugar and chemical powders. |
|
Clean water is better. Energy drinks are not nutritious. They are the DEVIL. Full of crap, they are.

6. There's one that I'd recommend, though... |
|
Monster Khaos. It's actually a 70% fruit juice blend along with the usual assortment of ginseng, taurine, B vitamins, and all that.
I've had some crushing days at work where I'd be literally dragging my butt at quitting time, and a single can of Monster Khaos gave me enough energy to limp across the finish line and actually get a little work done. Not that I take it every day, though - I take vitamin supplements along with breakfast, and that helps a little bit.

Better to eat the fruit, rather than the concentrated juice. Otherwise, too much sugar. Eat the food in it's whole form. Eat an orange. Eat an apple. Eat a banana. Eat a pear. Eat grapes, among other whole foods.
That is what our bodies were made for. It will make you whole. The sudden surge of nothing but juice does not compute to the stomach, bloodstream, or glucose level in the brain.
Listen to me. Don't drink concocted energy drinks made in a labatory.
Do you understand what I am saying?

I do enjoy apples, grapes, oranges, etc. when I can get hold of them.
I even enjoy eating lemons. A lot of people can't imagine sucking on a lemon, but I am so there.

Like a Rock Star. One can of that at 7am after 17 hours on a bus, and I was ready to march in DC without even stopping for breakfast (I used my rest break time to shave my legs in the Hardee's rest room).
Although I have been known to enjoy a Monster from time to time. The Khaos, with the fruit juice, and the Green flavor are my faves.

Not an energy drink you say? Freak, it almost has me bouncing off the walls (or off the balcony, so I'm careful not to drink too much ;) )
