Morans sharpen spears for lion that got away
A lion cheated death by a whisker when it eluded irate Maasai morans determined to avenge the killing of two cows.

More than 30 morans armed with spears combed the expansive grasslands of Kitengela, east of Nairobi, in search of one of the lions blamed for killing close to 100 cows and goats during the last two months.

Had it been caught and killed, the one that got away would have been the 10th lion from Nairobi National Park speared to death this month.

Now there could be only eight lions left in the park.
