How to know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you need a new job
Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 05:28 AM by bertha katzenengel
Because of the boss's procrastination, you are up half the night making lists in your head, worrying that the boss's projects that were due Monday and are now going out today are going to go down to the wire yet again. It has become your responsibility to assemble all the shit that has to go out, as one of the three pros working on the project will be out, and the boss will be out as of 11 AM, and you are stressing so badly that you couldn't sleep and now you get up at 4:45 AM because you just can't sleep anymore.

And you are an hourly member of the frigging staff, a secretary too underpaid for this shit.

And will there be a reward for this? Fuck, no. Your boss has over 600 unread emails for starters. There is no have time to recognize staff for going above and beyond. And besides, what's above and beyond? The boss gets less sleep and has the weight of the world... the secretary can take a little from time to time.

And if the secretary strokes out, big deal. There's always the floater pool.

:banghead:

I'm going to go eat Corn Flakes and get in the shower.
