SPRING BREAK

Speaking of Spring Break, it's one thing for college kids to go off for fun and frolic on southern beaches and call it Spring Break.

But it's quite different for our local elementary and high schools to do away with the traditional Easter vacation and start calling it Spring Break.

Seems like so many of the intellectually elite are working vigorously to save everyone's culture but ours. America is traditionally a Christian nation, and Easter is a Christian holiday. Even if they aren't religious people themselves, why is it that some folks don't seem to appreciate the richness of our national heritage. It's worth preserving too!

1. Traditional Easter Vacation?

I am 44 years old and I have never heard of such a thing.

Well at least they admit we are smarter than them.

2. We didn't get an "Easter Vacation" or "Spring Break" at my school...

Instead, we got Thanksgiving week off, which also happens to be the same week as the Wisconsin gun deer hunting season.

We just got Good Friday, and that was it.

In my bible belt town, they had spring break during a week that was NOT Easter on purpose - because they thought if they had spring break during Easter weekend, no one would go to church!
