Repug posers have the funniest way of tipping their hand, don't they? There was the thread about "What has the democratic party ever done for blacks?" and then, in the thread about Neal Boortz (whoever that is) claiming that dems are worse than Al Qaeda, I mentioned that hate radio like Limbaugh gets dismal ratings compared to liberals like Randi Rhodes & Donahue on TV, but national advertisers support it because it puts our their preferred message, he came back with this nonsense(paraphrased) "Now let's not be dishonest here. that's how the republicans gain ground on us, when we are inconsistent. I HATE THE FREE MARKET AS MUCH AS ANYONE HERE, AFTER ALL, THAT'S WHY WE ALL DEPEND ON THE GOVERNMENT SO MUCH, RIGHT?, etc."

I corrected him on his assumptions about DU members, and referred him to the Arbitron page showing Limbaugh's Philly rating at a .7 share (ha!), and mentioned the fact that Michael Weiner Savage got a consistent 0 rating at KGO before the fired him, but I never got to see his reply because it got deleted, along with him.

They are so obvious! That dumbass actually believes all that Limba BS that we're all on welfare, and socialists! Duh! And that Limbaugh and his ilk stay on the air due to "the free market"! Ha! I really don't know what they get out of the pathetic masquerade. Republicans really are dumb as a box of rocks.

4. For a while, back before we invaded Iraq,

There were many, many posters who would start threads advocating violence and violent or illegal means of protest. I don't know that all of them were right-wingnuts -- perhaps some of them were genuinely just heartbroken leftists who felt desperate -- but you can bet anybody advocating violent means of protest, trespassing or assassination, or anything illegal for that matter, is trying to get DU in trouble, regardless of their actual political affiliation.

My favorites are probably not actually disruptors who've come over from Free Republic, because they're more culturally aware than that and would have to be at least marginally literate to know enough to do what they do. They use the names of Ayn Rand characters. They actually have the gall/hubris to think liberals don't read Ayn Rand, so they think they're getting by with someting calling themselves 'Roark' or 'Dagny Taggart' or 'John Galt.' Eventually, they have to tell you about how wonderful Ayn Rand is, usually sneering at your 'liberal naivete' in the process.

And then they go 'poof,' just like any other disruptor. But they usually waste an awful lot of their own time before they go, which really makes me wonder about them.

Oh, and by the way -- I just wanted to add, on edit -- ALERT AND IGNORE. Don't engage them, when they start disrupting, just give the mods a heads-up and let it go.

I had someone IM me once , who said (paraphrase) "im from DU and I hate Bush,Im so sad that Uday and Quasay died arent you", I said we should have tried harder to get them alive he started warning me and then called me a an idiot. Then he asked me why the left hates America and why they blame America first for 9/11, I told him no one ever says that its a stupid repuke straw man. He alerted me 10 more times and signed off.
