So I spent $140 on DVDs today.
Suncoast and Sam Goody going out of business sales.

Best find was a $20 Red Dwarf series five.

lots of Seinfeld but not a lot of other things. I was upset because I could not buy all the Dark Shadows for my mom...but well...

No.
I got frustrated at receiving no response to my requests for detailed accounts of how donation money is spent. The info still wasn't given out during the last donor drive.

Also, I just needed to stop spending so much time at DU. I was busy with an election as well.

27. Because I donated
and if I'm going to donate again I should be given some basic info about how the money is spent. That is the standard, usual practice for any org that accepts contributions. The fact that DU doesn't do so is unusual and is in itself my only reason for concern. Releasing that kind of info during every drive should be a no-brainer. When a thread I started on the subject was locked I decided to stop posting.

30. I don't have reason to think
that the money is being spent badly. Releasing that kind of info is simply a good business practice and prevents accusations. It will also cause me to become a donor again.

22. So is it ALL Suncoast/Sam Greedy locations or just the one near you?
I may want to pick up The Prisoner (best 1960s British TV Series Ever) and extra copies of Good Night and Good Luck (for friends and enemies -- makes a great gift).

Another causality of the great BFEE economy

I was Audio Department manager in the Livingston NJ Sam Goody in 1974-1977. Great times. Audio infancy before LSIC. RIP.

29. ALL Suncoast stores goin' outta business?
I'm surprised they lasted this long; they're the only place (apart from big chain bookstores like borders, B&N, et al) that sell for MSRP. Every other local store has them for ~$15-20% less, and internet stores like amazon.com have them off 25-50%...
