I want to know what happened to the 30 day billing cycle?? |
|
It seems every bill we get the time to pay it has been shortened to just 15 - 20 days. What's up with that?? It's our electric, cable, and heating bill. :wtf:

1. They've all switched to that method, it seems. |

It's a good way for them to rack up the late fees.

3. Something I did a few years ago... |
|
I pay almost all my bills online. I used some money from a bonus to get a month ahead on all bills, and then I just instructed my bank to pay half the bill every payday (every two weeks). If I don't know the exact amount of the bill (ex. utility bills), I estimate high and pay that. Then, when the actual bill arrives in the mail, it is already credited with being paid or pretty close.
This has helped me to stay current and avoid late fees. I still have to check each bill carefully and adjust my payments accordingly, but overall I like the system.
