Hell, some days half the lounge doesn't even appear on my screen.

response to me. Then I check, and half the time take them off the list.

I'm barely, if at all, aware of who posted it. I'm certainly not up on where that particular poster falls into the strata of the DU pecking order. Hell, I'm just guessing that there is one.

So, it would seem weird to read some dude's post, be like "you are SO ignored asshole!" and then a week later try to figure out why I have some random I don't know from Adam on my ignore list

15. I only use it on Green haters and baiters. Actually I think there's only

1 or 2 people on my list permanently. I occasionally ban someone if they are being a nitwit, but I take them off the list after a while.

I'm with you sister - I don't see why it's such a big deal to some. If I had this feature out in the real world I'd have half of the world (i.e. Repukes) on ignore. I don't see why it is necessary to have to experience those people I have don't seem to get along with, hate me, or I have zero in common with. Makes life simple and easy. It makes more sense to simply ignore those we don't get along with that to constantly engage in the bullshit.

I do ignore some people and I try to be judicious about entering flamebait threads. However, I also feel that the ignore feature can lead to bad consequences. If all of us ignored a freeper, for instance, there would be no one to trash their silly threads or press the alert button.
