If you accidentally scorch a cotton shirt with an iron, you may be able to save it. Quickly put the shirt in ice cold water and let it soak overnight. Then treat the stain and wash as normal.

2. Thanks. Just now saw that.
I'm washing it again but I need it for tonite so I can't soak it. It's my only good white shirt. I'll just have to wear a white tee tonight.

"Scorch marks:
Lightly rub white distilled vinegar on fabric that has been slightly scorched. Wipe with a clean cloth."

You might also try hydrogen peroxide.
