My ferrets are getting their pictures taken with Santa tomorrow!

They are going to wear their angel wings and everything! The money collected goes to a good cause, so I don't feel like I'm wasting money. They're going to be so cute! Anyone else do stupid things with their pets for the holidays?

put on their winter coats yet? Ours is all furred up to about twice his size! He was a fat little stink-weasel to begin with but now he resembles a hairy log. :D

2. Yes, both of them have their luxurious coats, after

much shedding. Akira seems like he is getting a yellow stripe down his back, and Tetsuo is just getting fatter. He has a roll of fat around his neck and the biggest belly I've ever seen on a ferret. The vet said he was fine and that it wasn't liver disease. He's just fat, and apparently that's okay for ferrets. What is your stinkie's name?

3. Festus!!

Or, as is appropriate for the season, "Festivus!" ;)

Apparently it is ok for ferrets to be chubby, our guy is barely 8 months old and is nothin' but chunk. He fancies himself quite the suave ferret-about-town; every time I hold him he tries to french kiss me or go into parts of clothing that I would just rather not have him and his wee sharp teeth prowling around in. :D

4. Cute name! He sounds like my Tetsuo.

He can be quite the little charmer, especially at the vet's office! He will try to get down the vet's blouse or just pull it open with his paw. He also loves to give romantical kisses! He will start kissing anyone at anytime and won't stop until you pry him off. Akira isn't as snuggly, but he is more active. He is deaf, so he is more vocal; and he loves to climb and jump.

5. Ferret foster family

we take in ferrets who have been kicked out of homes where the adults are actually in control. We've had six so far. The kids want them and then the parents realize what outrageous pets they are. Then they end up at our house.

I hope the wings are visible in the pictures. They hate having them on, so they are going to have to snap the picture fast before they destroy them.

I wish there were a Santa around here I could take my fuzzies to see! They loooooooooove going out for walks and stuff.

That's where we're taking our boys. I think all of the locations are doing pictures every Saturday up to Christmas.

13. Not much is "near by"...

...where I live in WA. The 2 closest PetSmarts are each a little more than an hour away - in opposite directions. One's in Yakima, the other in Issaquah.

Bummerrrrrrrrrrrrr....

I'd REALLY like to show up at Petsmart with the whole fam damily - lol I think I'd freak them out. 3 kitties, 1 puppy, 3 ratties, 3 ferrets, 3 sugar gliders - Pictures with Santa! Please! :)
