CAPTION and clean up the mess in Aisle 6
Edited on Sat Dec-06-03 09:38 AM by CalamityJane

President George W. Bush (news - web sites) sits with Home Depot CEO Bob Nardelli (C) and Home Depot employee Jessica Adamson at a store in Lansdowne, Maryland, December 5, 2003. Bush visited workers from the booming housing sector as he sought to convince a still-wary public that the U.S. economy was firmly on the rebound. (William Philpott/Reuters)

1. Howdy Doody in the 21st century
It's OK, we don't have to clean up the aisle. There'll be plenty of people available for that kind of work when the 'booming housing market' falls apart and all of the newly built dwellings are foreclosed. Hurray for the economy! (sarcasm off)

2. Employee Jessica Adamson Thought Bubble:
"Strengthening America's Economy," my ass. You've got a lot of nerves coming to a fucking Home Depot to spout this shit, 'Mr. President.' Look me in the eye and tell me that your fucking tax cuts have helped me. Come to my house & look at what I have to feed my kids. Introduce my children to fresh fruit, would you, because they haven't seen it in a while. Call my creditors and tell them, 'It's okay, she'll pay eventually -- my tax cuts will work!' and see if that makes them shut the hell up.

"Piss off, 'Mr. President.'"

5. W: Home on de Pot ... so much to say to you folks ... no, I'm not Diana

((my apologies for getting windy))

Ross, and these are not my Supremes ... thank goodness we had a map, or we might have been riding around all day trying to find your town ... the provided directions helped, too, although it took us awhile to figure out which trailer we were to look for before we took a hard right ... it's good to find a place so near Washington where most people let us decide things for them ... sometimes it pays not to think for yourselves ... correct me if I'm wrong ... I did learn stuff hanging out at the ballpark preparing myself for world affairs that I know we're officially a fire hazard sitting here in this aisle ... so, we'd like to thank the local fire folks for accepting our envelope donation this morning ...

... they asked me to put on a smock, but I don't like to be made a smockery ... I'm surprised that John Langone isn't CEO, no offense Bob, but John owns over 18 million shares ... whoa ... can you imagine those dividend checks ... wow ... but, Bob did make almost $2 million last year with a $4 million bonus ... well, done there ... and, you get 6 times your salary in stock options ... very well done ... so, you humps out there ... scan well, and maybe someday, after all the other good ol'boys ahead of you die or something, you, too, might fit the mold ... you've got a great Board with neat contacts, like Roger Penske, you know, the rental truck business owned by GE ... way cool ...

... ChoicePoint is represented, and I can tell you, they love them in Florida and Mexico ... your Board has done a great job of making sure the stockholders keep those pesky human and tree-hugging propositions voted down ... afterall, I've got Uncle Prescott Jr., handling the China situation ... I'll go on record to say that Home de Pot has probably one of the most diverse Board portfolios in the world ...

... unfortunately, we couldn't get any volunteer to debate me today, but we do have Bob and this minimum wage lead clerk to watch my back ... hope you all like my new mic and stool image caused by some of those Demonrats who have an ability to talk without a speech or notes ... this is great practice ...
