Prayers and warm thoughts requested for sister
My sister has come down with a health problem. She has a "mass" in her abdomen, with what she describes as "shooting" pains going from the mass down into her legs. They are doing blood tests and she has a CT scheduled for Wednesday.

At this point the doctors say it could be any number of things, ranging from the "bad" (ovarian cists) to the "really bad" (cancer). We don't know what it is right now of course. She has never been in good health and has had some autoimmune disorders in the past. She is 30 years old.

Right now we would basically appreciate any prayers or thoughts of support that you may have for her and our family. Thanks, guys

2. Prayers from here. If it's any comfort, my sister >
had several bouts with ovarian cysts about 10 years back. She overcame them just fine and is still doing what she loves -- ballet.

nothing but the best of health and happiness. I'm touched by your request for your sister. To me, at age 60, she is just a baby, and I'll certainly be praying for her and you all. Please let us know how she is doing.

6. Prayers from here
Hope she does well, and gets more than one opinion as to what to do. I would suggest she consult someone in integrative medicine. They are MDs who also use herbs, acupressure/puncture, and other forms of healing as well as Western medicine. They might have something that would help her overall condition.

8. Sending positive thoughts her way...
My friend had the same symptoms--it was an ovarian cyst. She had a hysterectomy and is doing fine now. Here's hoping 1) That the doctors will find out right away what is causing the problem, and 2) That they will be able to fix that problem and she will make a complete recovery.

16. thanks, everyone.
Thank you everyone for the prayers and thoughts.

My wife spoke with my sister this morning. My sister can actually SEE the "mass" when she pivots her abdomen. It is about 3 inches long right now, about an inch wide, on her left side of her abdomen, parallel to the uterus. She says it has developed rapidly over the last two months. She also says she is in considerable pain in her legs, chest, and back.
