Anyone here have laparoscopic hernia surgery? |
|
I just did, yesterday, so I'm trying to find out how people's recovery experiences were. I've heard good things about the process in general, but I'm curious as to how well others did and how quickly they got back to their regular activities.

2. They claimed that I would be back in five days |
|
and I was, but I was weak as a kitten. I'm pretty physically fit, so I was surprised. It actually took a couple of weeks to be back to normal. I can feel the mesh screens inside me when I bend certain ways occasional wierd pangs. I had five hernias, they went in through my navel, first surgery in my life.
They gave me pain meds, but I barely used them.

3. I had laparoscopic surgery on the gall bladder; |
|
I was stiff and sore for three days and felt a bit tired. Took Advil and naps and was back on the streets again in four days.
Just take it easy and your bod will let you know when it's back to normal. Keep track of your temperature for a couple of days. Post op infection is always a possibility.
