She was dumped in our neighborhood at the age of six weeks and we took her in.

And I'm kidding about the mate - she's been fixed, so any relationship would be platonic.

Well, she looks like a sweetheart of a dog, anyhow....

My daughter has a pit bull too...a female that someone dumped.

The dog is very friendly and fun to be around...Not mean or vicious at all......

Good for you for taking her in! You both lucked out, methinks!
