So while the painters are upstairs... |
|
Nini and I are hanging out downstairs watching movies. :hi:
Big crew at work. It's a tough job because the people who lived here before did some really fucked up things with texturing, wallpaper, and who knows what. The stairs look like someone bombed the place, lol. The cats are happy to hang with us too.
New carpet, a new fridge, a new dishwasher, and new flooring coming soon. My parents are visiting next month and we might just have it all done by then. :-)
How is your Saturday?

2. If it were just to cover up old paint... |
|
Yes, I would gladly do it. :D
But there is no way in hell to describe how fucked up the walls are/were. These guys have been busting their asses from 8 hours yesterday, to 8 more today, and the scraping of the bad texturing is just barely done. There is a big plastic sheeting blocking the stairwell, and the stairs and all 3 bedrooms are covered with literal CHUNKS and HUGE PIECES of gawdknowswhat. Plus, the ceiling in the master bedroom (this is a tri-level townhouse) is cathedral-style, and that's bad enough...
We're going to use one of the big bedrooms on the second level for our new master bedroom, and I am going to convert the old master bedroom into my Den of Iniquity & Debauchery. That is where I get to do some things myself. :P

10. I had a GREAT Saturday! |
|
I had BBQ with some good, good friends, some of whom I haven't seen in years. I love the Texas Hill Country in spring, and it was a good day to be out.
Your remodeling sounds nice - pictures! :D
