l337-speak is for n00bs. Between my roommate and myself we could do any number of things to people on the internet or through mIRC. As nerdy as this is, I'm also part of an MMORPG Guild, and NOBODY does l337-speak. We all understand it, we just hate it with a passion.

Just like irl POSERS and WANNABES use stuff like this to feel superior, whereas someone who really is "l337" doesn't need to prove anything. Beware people who really are legit, we're known to acquire IP addresses, and flood PCs with pings simply b/c their owner was using l337speak.

*this isn't a threat, just a handy reminder that some people aren't very patient, or have had to deal with this stuff for YEARS, and it's easier to smack a fool down, rather than reason with them.

But they abound in MMORPGs like PKers and scammers, and generally make it a point to ruin other people's good time. It was just a crack at them because I once tried to introduce my ex to MMORPG's and after 5 minutes she quit with much frustration asking "wtf are these people saying???"

BTW, which MMORPG's are you playing? I haven't played one in a while, and I'm beginning to miss it. Please, don't recommend Evercrack. Though I might check out the sequel when I obtain a supercomputer, that game is gonna be a beast.
