it's acrylic on canvas...i live in an apartment with my wife and two young children...so oil painting is out of the question...but acrylic is very close to oils (the way i use them anyway)...and since they are "water soluble" they are much easier to use in a cramped setting...this is the second painting in a series of three..the first one was Earth, this is Water...the next will be sky...

I can't tell what I'm looking at!
I do love your use of color here!
And the one of the lady is wonderful.....
Acrylics do have distinct advantages....my daughter paints professionally with them...
