7. thanks billy, RA and KW for the compliments
it's acrylic on canvas...i live in an apartment with my wife and two young children...so oil painting is out of the question...but acrylic is very close to oils (the way i use them anyway)...and since they are "water soluble" they are much easier to use in a cramped setting...this is the second painting in a series of three..the first one was Earth, this is Water...the next will be sky...

10. This one puzzles me.....I guess because it's in progress!
Is it the same picture at an earlier stage as the one down in your thread, of the lady?

I can't tell what I'm looking at!

I do love your use of color here!

And the one of the lady is wonderful.....

Acrylics do have distinct advantages....my daughter paints professionally with them...
