Who here can create a French braid, on |
|
themselves, their kids, their neighbors, their lovers, whomever. And by the way, how is that done? I''ve had the hair for years but maintain it's not possible. Clues?

3. Thanks for that, aA! I've been to sites that help, but I'm still |
|
clueless. Granted, I haven't tried in awhile. I guess I'm wanting a magical hairdresser every other day!

2. I can french braid anyone's hair provided it's long enough |
|
If you learn on other people, you have to reverse it to do your own. Once you figure it out, it's a snap, though. You ever bake braided bread?
Same principle...you just pull the hair from the sides. Pass it under and the braid is raised, over and it lays flat.
Have someone do it slowly...and watch them. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

8. I've always thought French braids are ugly. Don't know why... |
|
I prefer regular braids.
And the "herringbone" French braiding I find utterly repulsive.

9. Yup, I can. I used to do it all the time for myself in high school |
|
My hair isn't that long anymore.....and high school is a looooooong time ago. heheheh. LOL.
I don't think I could explain it as well as I'm sure others can. It's a bit tricky, but also easy, once you get the hang of it.

I learned to do my own when I was about 12, at camp... then in high school we used to have to wear double french braids for cheerleading, and I did about 1/2 the squad for every game... now I mostly just do my daughter's. My hair is way too short for any kind of braid, ATM!

13. I can do other people's hair |
|
but not my own. I think it's easier if the hair isn't layered, but other than that it's just practice.
