29. Do you have Whole Foods up there?
We get the 365 Organic brand. They come in dark chocolate and cappuccino. Yummy! But VERY rich! :9

Sorry -- bad suggestion! WARNING: DO NOT EVER LICK TRUFFLES OFF THE COMPUTER! Heck, if you could come over and lick the chocolate off my computer, I could just GIVE you some truffles in person and we could ditch the computer completely!

35. Well, it's not too late.
You have a few more weeks to drive that cute little car down here and wash it. Then we can go to Whole Foods and get you your very own box of truffles. We'll take a magic marker and write your name on the box so harleydad doesn't get into them. Sorry, but the Publix brand just won't cut it.

I, AirmensMom, promise you, Clintmax, your very own box of truffles ... TWO boxes actually, one of each flavor, with your name on both boxes, when you come down to wash your car at my place. AND I will help you wash the bugs off your car.

If you should wait until we move to Tennessee, this contract shall be null and void until such time that they build a Whole Foods Market there. However, substitutions will be made.

This contract is legal in all states except Alaska and Hawaii. (I wonder why that is?)

25. Hey ...
What's that umlaut letter thingy in his name for? Is that the affectionate form of Clintmax?

To continue ... we're moving in June. Don't know for sure when, but we'll have to be out of this house by the 15th at the latest. If harleydad gets a job (inverview today!), and we find a place in time, we want to be up there by the beginning of June.

We've done all the sorting already, in order to get the house all cleaned up and ready to sell. We gave away a ton of stuff! I'd like to get rid of my family room furniture, but harleykid wants it. So we're moving it up there for her. It's from This End Up, which is pretty expensive if you buy new.

harleydad was chatty (for HIM) this morning. I think he's nervous about that job interview.

I always understand you. I used to live in Munich ... WAY long time ago. My first language was German and I could barely speak English when we came over here. Now I can't speak a word of German.

71. I didn't know that
so are you German or were you just born here?

I am sure the language would come back to you quick if you had no choice but to listen to it and speak it the whole day.

I would be nervous also right before an interview. Who isn't doesn't care about the job.

72. Neither.
My dad was in the US Army and got stationed there for 4+ years when I was about two and a half years old. And I went to Deutsche Volksschule (?) for kindergarten, first, and second grade. But the teasing when we got back to the states was hard on a 3rd grader, so I didn't keep up with my German. It's not a language they offered in my high school or college here ... so I took Spanish instead. I did learn quickly, for the tests, but I can't speak it conversationally.

My brother told me that I could learn it again. He went back over there as an adult and can still speak German ... and about two dozen other languages.

You're right about being nervous. We're just REALLY hoping this works out. It's the same company our daughter works for.

at which time does he has the interview?

I learned my English when I was a nanny in NC. I am not good in languages. I am only that good in English because I speak or read it on a daily basis. For one here at DU and then I am dating a Jamaican man who lives in London. And I love to read English books. Esp. of the authors I like and where I can't wait for the books to get publsihed in German.

Right after lunch. He's meeting with about three high-up guys who are talking about "creating" a job for him since they were so impressed with his resume.

Anyone who can speak, read, write, or just understand more than one language has my admiration! Does your Jamaican man have an accent?

59. I'm alright.
Did I tell you my fiance and I broke up? But I'm starting to feel better about it so it's okay. I kind of like living by myself. :D

How have you been?

62. I've been just fine!
Yes, you told me. I've been thinking about you about that too. I'm glad to hear you're doing OK though. I got Brokeback Mountain on DVD while I was on vacation! :woohoo:
