Man's fortune changes after stealing Chinese food

WEST PALM BEACH — Call it the Cantonese caper.

A Royal Palm Beach man was handcuffed and charged with twin felonies for hijacking his neighbor's Chinese dinner.

The China King deliveryman went to the wrong door, Walter Eliassaint took the bag and signed the credit card receipt — and ended up locked in cuffs, looking at 11 years in prison.

"Was it good?" County Judge Paul Moyle asked about the food at a plea hearing Wednesday.

"I didn't eat it," said Eliassaint, 25. "I was in jail the same night."
