Lexapro makes me verrrrrrrry sleeeeeeepy. |
|
Edited on Thu Apr-20-06 08:37 PM by nytemare
I have started to cut my pills in half. I love to sleep on this stuff. When it is time to wake up, it is really time to hit the snooze. Just another 5 minutes, that's all I need. Then, another 5 minutes.
About 10 minutes after waking up, I am great. Once those eyes shut, though, they sure as hell don't wanna open!
A good thing is it seems to be helping with my memory. Possibly, before I wasn't getting good enough rest, and this is helping. I don't notice as many brain farts.
Anybody else get sleepy on this stuff?

with Celexa, which is simply the older form of Lexapro.
Just took it. I figure I'll be in la la land in about 30 minutes. :boring:

Not so much anymore. Maybe it goes away after awhile.
I take it between 11 p.m. and midnight.

12. It is mainly memory problems. |
|
B12 deficiency may have caused that, but it got pretty frustrating. I am not having as many problems now. Not sure if it is placebo effect, or not, but b12 shots or the lexapro is helping. I think I am resting better, too.

Yeah, I take it at wind-down time, and I sure as hell wind down.
Doc prescribed it because my memory has been really, really shitty, and I was getting very concerned. My b-12 was low, and he was saying it could be that and minor depression.
What were your other symptoms?
on edit: maybe I should not have asked that question.

I had what I felt were tremors and tics, as well as zaps in the brain. Sounds weird, I know, and who knows maybe that is all explained by stress or the bizarre reaction I had to the flu shot at the same time. Anyway... given the bad withdrawal symptoms I had when I went off Lexapro years ago, I decide to just get off of it altogether. Note: never quit Lexapro cold turkey!! Always wean off of it. I learned the hard way.

15. My mom is taking that stuff, but wants to change to something else |
|
All she wants to do is lay down. Has no energy. Of course, she has been ill, but she said in the month she's been on it, she is extremely tired. Plus, she has a funny taste in her mouth.

Mom has a very hard time eating, and having a nasty taste in her mouth doesn't help.
