Encapsulated surprisingly happy day
Edited on Thu Apr-20-06 11:36 PM by swag
Struggled through many work tasks, felt inept, yet prevailed.
Enjoyed haircut with substitute stylist Denise, who is a kick in the pants - so smart and engaging. Little crush there.
Sat on front porch of home and let sun try to fry latest skin condition off of face.
Found friend A at wine shop and admired her unusual and beautiful surprise engagement ring from B.
Mutual friend Brian joined A and I for some raucous conversation.

Maria from DC, whom I hadn't seen in 15 years, showed up for wine shop meeting with her fab girl Robin.
Much chat, much catching up. Getting to know you, getting to know all about you.
Aitch, who had been detained at work showed up as we were leaving for a visit to my house.
Drank more wine with Aitch, Marie, and Robin at the house of Aitch and me, while we ate Marie's cheese and crackers, talked and talked some more.

Said good night.

Apologized for tense shifts.

'adapt & overcome' is in my tool box too; chatty, well timed & placed friends w/cheese, wine & crackers are always an extra kicker
