Spring is around Maestro's place, but be careful!
Things are starting to bloom. We've already had a few 100+ degree days and we finally got some rain so things are starting to bloom. Mrs. Maestro and I were doing some yardwork when we found one of our all too often visitor around here. Take a look. She was in a pot Mrs. Maestro was painting to put in a our garden. They are all over the place here. They mostly keep to themselves but this lady was in our way unfortunately. Later on that day we found the home of a four foot long rat snake. It slide away very quickly though. Here are some other pics of our garden.

Red Lupine Our Lupines or Bluebonnets are not doing well this year. we just haven't had enough rain.

Buttercups or primrose

A very pretty bulb.

I think these are called Sweet William

1. I love purple irises!
My grandmother planted thousands of them, and the purple ones were always my favorite. I will always think of her every time I see an iris.

Great pics!

:hi:

3. I had to deal with those damn black widows when I lived in Florida...
There were a couple of nests in my sisters backyard, and I was extra careful when I was weeding the property.....I know you folks have some nice places to visit there but god-damn! The wildlife SUCKS:scared:

4. I'm not sure why they are so plentiful around here
They are everywhere. I've lived in this area pretty much all my life and I do not remember having to deal with them so every spring and summer.
