Dicking around, and sllightly less frequent flamewars. And celebrity gossip.

So, the lounge is like the off-off-topic, and more "casual" place?

|
Edited on Sat Apr-29-06 01:49 PM by Fenris
and/or current events. There is somewhat of a gray area with regard to some threads, but in general that is the criteria.

well, aside from the sad attempts at creating a sex thread, the Lounge is usually much nicer, more silly and less political...and we post pics of ourselves at night when we're bored. :D
Welcome to the Lounge!

thanks for all the responses. I better go and get started with my day, since I have been procrastinating. I'll check back and see what's hanging in the lounge later, though.
Thank you for the warm welcome! :toast:

People seem less likely to jump down your throat for a differing opinion. I've seen GD discussions where people are attacked for what (to me) seems to be rational, progressive thoughts on a subject by those who vehemently defend their Neanderthalness.

I actually think while we are infinitely mroe silly in the lounge we also have a lot more common sense.

The Lounge - we spend half our time being stupid and the other half saying how much we love each other. Which is amusing and sweet. (Except for the dumb jokes!)
GD - Make sure you have sharp edged weapons. It's a knife fight.
Not that we don't slice each other up in the Lounge. But unlike GD, we know the best part of a fight is when you kiss and make up afterwards. And our sex threads are better :)

I'm at my most stupid when I'm at my most 'loving'.

24. In the lounge we cover many burning issues of our time, including: |
|
Oasis -- How much do they suck? Kudzu -- How long can it live? Olives -- Love 'em or hate 'em? Kitties -- How amazingly adorable are they, anyway? CaliforniaPeggy -- When's she gonna drop another "F" bomb?
and so on...
