I dimly remember seeing it....

3. It's a punk song from the late 70's....
That captured the feel of London during the worst of times...

And the best of times....

Joe Strummer, one of the main forces behind the group the Clash, died....

Springsteen and Elvis Costello and David Groyl (sp) from the foo Fighters did a tribute to Strummer at the grammy's a while back...

5. He's talking about the tribute to Joe Strummer at the 2003 Grammys
Edited on Sat Apr-29-06 11:45 PM by primate1
Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Dave Grohl (of the Foo Fighters), Steven van Zandt (of The E Street Band) and Tony Kanal (of No Doubt) performed "London Calling" by The Clash as a tribute to Joe just after he died.

12. Don't worry about it...
I'm sure there's a ton of music you love that I've never heard of. And when I talk about music to my friends, they usually look at me like I'm speaking Sanskrit or something. :P

13. Thanks for that!
Wish you could get it on CD. It blew the rest of the Grammy performances away that year.
