The futu'm: Undesirable tenants in the condiminmum er life will have to go! Then we can talk about our ethos, our pathos, our porthole, our flagpole...we can't even speak our own fucking language.

6. God, I need Thing Fish on CD |
|
All I have is an old cassette, and I haven't had a cassette player in like 10 years. All I have is what I remember, which is less and less every year...
But I'll never forget Briefcase Boogie. I played that on my college radio.

7. "that'd be like fucking a slightly more voluptuous version of |
|
somebody's father!"
Frank's most offensive piece of work. I first heard it when I was 11 years old; scarred me for life, I tell you!
"i poooooped my pants, faa-a-aa-aather..." The Crabgrass Baby still cracks me up. If Frank hadn't use so many previously released songs as backing tracks on that album, It'd be one of his all time masterpieces. I resented having to pay to hear "mudd Club" again, only this time with the blackface vocals on top....But the sociology of the thing is SO amazingly offensive, it's definitely a thing to behold.
"Looks like a definite case of "eeeeya-noosht!"

13. And it was supposed to be ... |
|
an actual Broadway Play. He must have run out of money and/or interest. I have a movie of Frank on the Letterman show explaing the premise of Thing Fish.
If you have no clue about this (like Letterman), you would have thought that Zappa had actually lost his mind. It is rather amusing.

in order to avoid the pantonomic resonance and other highly ambient domains. And short person behavior isn't very pretty to observe, especially when you Can't afford no shoes....

19. Did you know that a florentine Pogen is a kind of bread? |
|
Don't remember where I heard that, but it's true.
No, it's D. Boon of the Minutemen. Fantastic guitarist, lyricist, and spokesman for the working-class left in America. Died on December 23, 1985 in a van accident. Almost as inspirational to me as Zappa. Next time you go to a record store, plese pick up a copy of the Minutemen's "Double Nickels on the Dime," on SST Records- I promise you'll be blown away...

21. If you're one of those guys who was turned off to punk rock because |
|
the punkers couldn't play, then you need to hear the Minutemen; those guys could PLAY. Mike Watt is a virtuoso on the bass.
"god, that's a cheap bubble machine...."
