For lunch we had an all you can eat lobster buffet! |
|
Man did it rock!
The college here has a graduation celebration picnic every year. The Prophetess can go because she's faculty, and she an take me. So, we're debating whether to go, because we fugured it would be like usual-burgers, hot dogs, etc.-and we finally figured what the hell, let's go. We get there, and there's LOBSTER! STEAMED SHRIMP! RIBS! Damn!
I couldn't resist, I took a couple lobsters home with me too! I'm going to make lobster bisque out of them.

the college dropped some major bucks on this dinner-as well they should, really. I think it was a very nice gesture to go all out for the graduating students.

They had this chocolate cake with whipped cream frosting that made me drool. Thank goodness I was feeling good this morning and we decided to go to the picnic.
Here's the DAMN FUNNY part: I realized that there were no other significant others there and started to wonder if I had misread the email invitation about bringing spouses. Turns out, I sure did! Significant others were NOT invited!!! So, EP got this "rockin" lunch (which he deserved and has earned big time by taking such good care of me these last few months) plus some stolen lobsters for our own benefit later and he wasn't even supposed to be there. I laughed my ass off when I realized I had made a snafu. Oh well! Apparently, there was an "honors dessert" last week to which SO's were invited. My medicated brain merged the two invitations. Oops!

I also have done a lot of things for the college too, like proctoring ACT and Praxis exams. So it isn't like I just walked in off the street.

9. I know but I thought it was damn funny |

that I took the liberty of bringing my SO when no others were invited! BTW, you deserved a delicious lunch, so I would have "accidentally" brought you anyway. :loveya:

And my meds are really making me slur - I was just on the phone to a few of the insurance folks and had to ask them to bear with me. :) They were very graciously accommodating.
