1. DU!
I've completed only one or two transactions ever on Ebay, while I have 1000+ posts on DU in a very short time.

2. DU I do not like to shop. It is dull as hell.
I just put off over and over buying anything. I wish my clothing to last forever and just turn up in the closet. I am a very odd women or so my family tells me. Now books are something else, but I do not buy many any more. Do not tell me they are on E-bay.

5. Books
lots and lots of books on ebay. Addicted to both.

You know my pet peeve on Ebay? The people who God Bless me when I buy something or sell something to them. I can handle the words, heck, I live in the midwest, I have been God Blessed all my life. The problem is that as soon as I get God Blessed I know I am gonna get screwed. The payment takes 3 weeks or the book is a book club edition, not the advertised first edition and it takes 2 months, ten emails and 7 heart-rendering excuses before the moldy book arrives in shoddy packaging.

Ok, rant over. I find eBay very useful - I love DU.

8. Both, equally
I spend way too much time on both. I love to just browse on ebay, I find all sorts of weird stuff. I do buy stuff too, I recently got a good price on a water distiller. I sell stuff on ebay as my business too, so I am on a lot.

I'm addicted to DU, and now it has spread to my husband! He used to just look at threads when I would leave it up on our shared computer, now he actually goes there himself. He's got to get his own ID so he can post now!

10. Here's a few hints
Get the best pictures possible of your stuff! That's the most important. Have well written descriptions. If you aren't good with html, use a template. You can get free ones here

http://209.61.216.212/pongo2/2templates.html

List weekend afternoons or around 6-7 pm pacific time on weekdays.

Do searches to find out what the kind of stuff you want to sell usually goes for, make sure you are asking realistic prices but don't undersell either. It has been slow lately, so don't count on stuff getting bid up a ton, though it still happens sometimes.

If you don't have one, get a paypal account so you can accept credit cards.

Good luck! Send me a PM if you have any questions.
