They were going to do a retrospective, but apparently they're nixing it in favor of the pilot.
Oh, man...next week...

Pure brilliance.
And, of course,
CJ: Good morning. Dr. Randall Haymen, H-A-Y-M-E-N, chief of orthopedics at St. John's Hospital has diagnosed the President with a mild sprain in his left ankle sustained while cycling into a large cyprus tree. Details can be found in the full report that Linda and Susanne are distributing. Along with pool photographs of the President resisting help from a Secret Service agent, then falling down again. By all means, enjoy yourselves. Item number two...

6. Yes! The first time we see the President |
|
is when he strides into the room quoting the Constitution (or the Bible?) and tells the fundies where to get off!

Bartlett (unexpectedly entering a meeting): "I am the Lord thy God, thou shall worship no other gods before me...those were the days, weren't they?"

I was a blubbering fool at the end of last night's episode.
I want CJ to be happy. I'm really going to miss these people. Yes, I know they're fictional, but they've been running a kind of shadow-presidency to me, during these dark, dark Bush Years.
It's been comforting, somehow.
I do wish we'd get a two-hour finale, though, instead of the first episode and a one-hour final episode. There's too much to wrap up.

I didn't really like it all that much. What's up with making CJ look like such a world class bitch?
I mean, I know she's a commitment-phobe, but good lord. The hot dog scene? I could've strangled her.
And who the hell cares about the Santos administration? I for one couldn't give two flying rat's asses about who he's appointing to cabinet positions. Tie up lose ends with the cast members we care about, for pete's sake.
Seriously, why are we ending with a Santos inauguration? He was just elected 2 weeks ago. They easily could have focused on the ending of the Bartlet administration, which IMO we all care a heck of a lot more about, rather than trying to cram everything into 4 episodes. Ugh.

I was thinking that about CJ too but Danny hung in there and managed to get her to come around. I think he is smart enough to know if he wants to be with a woman like her he will have to be very patient. I was glad to see her go to his apt!!! I thought that last scene was really sweet.
And I think the fact that they showed Santos appointing Vinnick to Secretary of State is showing how great Santos really is...how he is following in the tradition of Bartlett, you know, someone who we wish was president but who in reality doesn't exist. :P
P.S. It's so sad...the set is gone gone GONE!!!
