6. Exactly.
In a room full of monkeys, the monkeys are far more likely to do, ahem, other things than to sit at typewriters hitting on a bunch of keys. Which reminds me, back to the 'ahem', they are more likely to go about hitting on each other...

7. thanks HT, and you prolly know that the early dog races had monkeys...
riding them round but they had to disband the practice for just that reason = when the dogs got into tight corners...the monkeys would start up punching each other messing up the 'dog run', and pissing off the bookies, and nobody wants to piss off a bookie for too very long
