I'm not entirely familiar with them, but she insists I will love it. This will be the first concert I've been to in NINE years! I better pull Yankee Hotel Foxtrot off my library and get more acquainted with it :bounce:

1. I saw them with Sonic Youth in Central Park a summer or two back
They're really good and put on quite a good show.

Their album "Summerteeth" (YHF's predecessor) is also a good one to check out -- probably better than YHF in my book.

8. Oh! I'd love to see Sonic Youth!
That would be majorly nostalgic of my High School years!

13. did you catch them in the season finale of Gilmore Girls?
they were buskers in the park, along with Yo La Tengo. That was very cool.

2. I just saw them in April and usually see them whenever they tour
Good stuff. Last year, just 3 months after the 2004 debacle, Jeff Tweedy pulled a guy up on stage that actually admitted to being a Republican. The questions started then. The guy couldn't answer a damn thing and made himself look like a fool (which was hard to top after admitting he's a republican).

Wilco very much agrees with the progressive mindset.

Their music is great. They have a tendency to go off into little jam sessions every once in a while, but not too much on this tour.

:)

9. Nice! It's costing us about $40 a pop for tickets.
Hence the reason we don't go to concerts often!

14. concerts cost the earth now
it's kind of crazy. Or the shows we used to see for 10 bucks or less now cost a fortune at some posh palace or other, downtown. :eyes:

4. Have fun. I think they're great. I am going to see Springteen's "Seeger"
thing for the last show in New Jersey and it will rain, mark my words. Hope you don't get rained on.

12. You'll love this show
saw them at jazzfest, wasn't too sure if I'd be into all the covers and the folksiness. The band, the arrangements, and the choice of covers though, makes it a wonderful experience.

Have fun!

10. Good! The last concert I attended was Smashing Pumpkins, in '97, I think.
Then kids happened.
