I went to replace my son's alternator in his Honda.
Figured that you just loosen two bolts take the belt off and swap it out.
On his 1987 Accord you have jack the car up, remove the steering rack and the LEFT DRIVE SHAFT!
Now all this work is to be done in the HOT parking lot of his apartment complex.
All the cars I've owned, all american, alternator removal is a snap. Not here!
Needless to say I'm calling auto shops now.
Oh and did I tell you that he has no money to fix his car?
Kids! They get to be 24 years old, move out on their own and you still have to pay!
