Who wants a steak?
I'm about to throw some tenderloins on the grill. Who wants one?

In addition, I'm having portobello caps stuffed w/ feta cheese, and brussel sprouts halved and lightly sauteed in olive oil with a little salt and pepper.

2. I have a couple,
but I can give you a virtual one. :-)

The best deal is to get a whole tenderoloin at Costco and cut it up into steaks yourself, but I only had time to stop at the grocery store today.

14. I know, I know..."I'm ruining it"...
What can I say, I just love that charred carcinogenic exterior. :P

If it's done right, it's crusty on the outside, and still tender and juicy on the inside. Some chefs just can't do it though, and very few backyard chefs can (me included, sadly). I have to go to the top-notch steakhouses for it. Lately I've taken to ordering medium as a compromise.

5. Do you marinate? Or are you a 'purist'?

7. Depends on the cut. For a filet, I'm a purist
I want nothing to come between me and a soft, cushy filet mignon. I will serve a nice sauce on the side though, like an herbed butter or this evening I'm trying a chipotle sauce.

DO you like to marinade? What do you use?

19. Depends on my mood.
We ususally do ribeyes.
I always tenderize with Adolph's using either worcestershire or liquid smoke.
Then a dry rub.
Montreal Chicken is a favorite.

Sounds delicious. No thanks to the steak, though. I'm a vegetarian.
