Here are some excellent resources and timelines of quotes and interviews and newspaper article quotes documenting the different things Bush and Co did and said for the last two plus years concerning the war in Iraq and WMDs (and other fun things) from the Howard Dean Website---even if you're not a Dean Fan, these are still excellent resources:

4. sic means
Edited on Tue Jul-29-03 12:21 AM by AmyStrange

that the way it is spelled is not your fault, but the person whom you are quoting. It is from latin. I think. That's off the top of my head.

For example I could have put (sic) in my Dictionary where I have the "Grassy Noll" entry, because some people actually spell it that way, but it's not the proper spelling, and I'm quirky like that.

Or something like that...

6. Okay, maybe you know this....
I'm in the Pacific Northwest, as you are, and Laura Bush is vacationing here.

I heard this on the car radio and said to my wife, "Whoa, what's Pickles doin' here?"

Her question, as you would expect, was why do you call her 'Pickles'?

Well crap, I DON'T KNOW!

Why do we call her 'Pickles' anyway?

8. There was a whole thread here on it once....
Edited on Tue Jul-29-03 01:09 AM by AmyStrange

and it goes into the whole theory of how we never saw Buddy's wife on the "Dick Van Dyke Show" so it seemed like the perfect name for Laura Bush, because we never see her. We only hear about her.

But a little flaw in our theory (which was pointed out in the thread) that we actually did see Pickles three times I think on the show.

or something like that...

I have a copy of the thread somewhere but I can't remember where I put it,
