Happiness is.......
Remember those silly little drawings of the 2 kids holding hands and describing what happiness is. It seemed it was the greeting card rage of the 70's.

So it's your turn to post what happiness is.

For me:

Happiness is......

  • a drip-free nose
  • a really hot bubble bath uninterrupted by anything with Bach playing in the background
  • snow delays
  • friends who are progressive thinkers like you

What's your definition of happiness!!

17. She covered the song
Actually, as blasphemous as it probably is, I forgot it was a Beatles original until you mentioned it. I humbly appologize to all Beatle loyalists as I know this type is faux pas is highly looked down upon amongst them. (I used to date a big Beatle dude years ago, and after my experience wit him, I kind of tuned them out intentionally I think.)

20. Happiness to me...
Whenever I take my son to the store with me he always reaches up to hold my hand when we walk in from the car. That makes me smile. And then he immediately runs off to the toy section, damn kids. :)

23. Me, my wife $ and
my boys J and M sitting in the living room playing a game together.

Sitting upstairs reading with the boys before they go to bed

A day I can actually get to finish everything I planned to get done

Hiking out several feet over the water on a Hobie Cat on a warm summer day on a lake with at least 3' waves

Friendship

Later,
JM the Happy

25. The Song:
Edited on Wed Dec-10-03 09:20 AM by trof
A Bobby Sherman hit, way back when.
on edit: circa 1965

Happiness Is...

To a preacher it's a prayer, prayer, prayer
To the Beatles it's a yeah, yeah, yeah
To a banker lots and lots of dough
To a racer a GTO

Happiness is, happiness is, happiness is
different things to different people
That's what happiness is

To a beatnik it's a beard, beard, beard
To a monster something weird, weird weird
To a dancer it's a discotheque
To a gambler a winning deck

Happiness is, happiness is, happiness is
different things to different people
That's what happiness is

To a hermit it's a cave, cave, cave
To a surfer it's a wave, wave, wave
To a sailor it's the sea, sea, sea
To my mother, it's me

Happiness is, happiness is, happiness is
different things to different people
That's what happiness is
