Budget digital camera: Kodak CX6200?
Ok, I have very little first-hand experience using digital cameras, but I do know a) they're cool, and b) I want one! I was just looking at some cameras today, and they had a Kodak CX6200 for $99. It has 2 megapixels, 3x digital zoom, and 8MB memory. They also have a CX6230, which is similar to the 6200 but has 3x optical zoom in addition to the digital zoom, and 16MB of memory. What I'm thinking (based on what I've found to read online) is that I can live with the reduced zoom, and I could buy a new memory card to let me hold more pictures. If I can find a new 32-64MB memory card for less than $50, I'll be out ahead AND be able to hold more pictures than the 6230. It would also give me extra money to spend on batteries and a charger. Anyone use this camera or one like it? I would be using it primarily for taking pictures of friends and family, and also to create an online picture gallery of trees and shrubs I like and grow (I'm a bit of an amateur botanist) I'd like to keep a detailed picture journal of the 25 acres of woods on my dad's farm that I'm replanting for wildlife habitat, so that I can more easily plan where and what to plant. Thanks.

1. That sounds like it would be adequate for what you need.
Myself, I bought a pair of Logitech Clicksmart 510's a little over a year ago so my wife and I would have nice webcams until she was able to move up here with me from Phoenix, AND we'd also be able to take pictures and save them. They're obviously not of professional quality but they only cost me about $100 each. We've been very satisfied with them for what little picture taking we do. What you can get for that same $100 now is probably a little bit better. Sounds like a good deal.
