Why are people jerks?
No particular reason for asking, but some people are just total dicks sometimes. Why?

Discuss.

10. Well, see, I have style.
Panache. And so people don't realize I've snapped then until I've moved on until my next viction so they still think I'm a nice person.

I'm talking about people who don't realize this and can't pull off the delayed reaction jerkosity and therefore come across as being a jerk.

:P

30. About 95% of the people are not jerks, surprisingly...
But they people that are more than make up for it.

Jerkisim in Middle school irritates me, but I don't think that it's like conventional jerkisim. It's more stuff like:

Swearing for no reason,

Being loud for no reason,

Being an asshole and holding up the class so you can get attention.

The last one has severely messed with my math experience, and I want to get my hands on the people that do it! :grr:

The area outside the town is *very* nice. Problem is, everything cool is at least 50 miles or so away and I don't have the money to pay for the gas to go anywhere fun (I've been to a lot of the national monuments around there, but some of them are worth a second visit). Meanwhile, in town, people know who I am and 65% of them don't like me (it's for political reasons and 65% of the town are staunch Repubs x(). One of my best friends is leaving for boot camp about a week after I get back, too.

I don't always succeed but I try. I guess I just never saw the fun in deliberately trying to bait and upset people.

Although when really angry at a jerk, I have been starting to get jerky back. Not proud of it, but anger has always been a tough emotion to handle for me.

61. I find it's usually unresolved childhood abuse issues, sexual frustration,
withdrawal of some variety, hormone fluctuations, (yes, men have them, too) exhaustion, ill-managed stress or some unfortunate combination of the above. And a general lack of compassion for others. Sometimes lack of a conscience factors in, too. 1 in 26 Americans is a sociopath, you know.
