It actually exists in some bar in Georgia.

Here's a description from a newspaper article...

"a half-pound burger served with bacon and cheese on a Krispy Kreme donut"

1. Allow me to steal a quote from "Frasier":
"I can feel my left ventricle slamming shut."

6. They should take the menu and change the name to...
"Heart attack on a plate"

7. No, that name's reserved for their other creation, the Hamdog.
What is a Hamdog? It's "a hot dog wrapped in a beef patty that's deep fried, covered with chili, cheese and onions, and served on a hoagie bun topped with a fried egg and two fistfuls of fries."

8. That sounds like something off the "greasetrucks."
Oh...they're so scary. I will only get falafel or fries....no "fat" sandwiches.

3. A lot of Americans don't get it either.
Krispy Kremes are really, really good. However, I wouldn't even make a veggie burger with one. It's just freaking weird.

5. I saw a report on the burger on a food website.
Edited on Wed May-24-06 04:52 AM by JonathanChance
The guy had a slice of one when they guy was first testing them out, he said something to the effect that surprisingly the sweetnes of the donut worked with all the other ingredients, and wasn't that bad.

He also said that there was no way in hell he'd actually even attempt to eat a whole one.

10. I don't mean like that. The weirdest thing is the volumetric analysis in
determining value.

13. They sell something similar at a minor league stadium in my area
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2362369

"Homer Simpson would love the newest taste sensation in minor league baseball: the doughnut burger.

We kid you not. The Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League promised to create "Baseball's Best Burger" in time for the team's opener in late May. And they appear to have succeeded.

The ballpark sandwich will include a hamburger topped with sharp cheddar cheese and two slices of bacon -- all between a "bun" made of a sliced Krispy Kreme Original Glazed doughnut."

14. Man, when I SEE food like that, I feel my circulation shutting down.
Holy shit. That's like 6 month's worth of unhealthiness in one sitting.
