Why are Gatorade bottles so hard to open?

4. I actually don't own a sabre.

I used the school's equipment when I fenced. I do have a katana though. Might be a bit much though, since I've sliced through a small tree with it. I got the gatorade open though...it was just a struggle.

5. I wasn't sure if the sabre was the right one

for slicing. I did a story on a fencing club once. Dude explained the differences between foil, sabre and epeé, but I've long since forgotten 'em.

They were also considered a men's weapon only until about 1999. Women were considered to weak to be a sabre. I was on the first Girl's varsity sabre team at my HS.

The basic difference...
Foil-the most lightweight. Only allowed to touch with the tip. The target is the torso groin to shoulder, front & back. Arms, legs, neck, and head are not targets.
Epee-almost twice the weight of the foil and it has a stiffer blade. Only allowed to touch with the tip and the entire body is a target.
Sabre-about the same weight as the foil. It's similar to a calvary sword and you can score points with the blade and the tip. Everything from the top of the hipbone up is a target.
