What weird things does your SO, Husband, Wife, etc do that confounds you? |
|
We were just sitting on the floor....And I asked Skip to turn the TV up...He gets up and GRABS THE REMOTE...He's sitting right in front of the tv on the floor, and rather than just hitting the button on the tv, he grabs the remote in the middle of the bed. Yeah. And then I asked him why he just did that, he said, "I couldn't remember which button it was." I reminded him they are labeled. He just smiled. :wtf: That's my husband. What weird things does your SO, Husband, Wife, etc do that just boggles your mind? Duckie

1. How much time do you have? |
|
Since yours is about remotes...my wife refuses to key in the numbers for the channel she wants. Instead she just keeps hitting the channel up/channel down keys until she gets there, no matter how far away the channel is.
Same thing with the computer. She insists on just clicking on the up-arrow/down-arrow buttons in the scroll bar, going up or down just one line at a time to read a web page. I keep saying, "You know, you can grab and drag the scroll bar, or click under it or over it to move a whole screen..." No dice. Just won't do it. I have to look away after awhile.
:loveya: but :wtf:

There's no way we'll ever use that many.

6. I'll let you know when I get one. |

Until then, live with the quibbles and annoyances. It's not like the SO is cheating on you, slicing kittens without anesthetic, ruining other peoples' lives financially, and that sort of thing...
You get far more positives out of being in a relationship than you do being alone and lonely.

7. Oh, don't get me wrong, I'd rather be annoyed with him.... |

Than be sleeping with anyone else. He's my best friend. It's just some things boggle my mind. I remember what it was like to be lonely, and I don't want to be back in that place ever again. Duckie

8. Lids/tops/caps on things. |
|
She CAN NOT put a top securely back onto a container. After 37 years I've come to believe it's genetic. It's why her gin & tonic has flat tonic. She says she likes it that way. Right.
I can't even begin to count the things I've taken out of the fridge, picked up from the kitchen counter, and spilled because the lid was just sitting loosely on top of the container. I'm talking Tupperware, Rubbermaid, screwtops, milk jugs, pickle jars, ketchup bottles, you name it.
She just can not do it. This used to drive me absolutely nuts, but she has many good qualities. So...I have learned to pick the lid up first. Help myself to whatever it is, and then place the lid securely back.
Thanks for asking. ;-)

11. After 32 yrs, mine still won't eat the last bit of chips, snacks, crackers |
|
whatever snack he might be eating nor will he pitch the bag/box. He'll leave a small amount..mostly crumbs and close up the bag or box and put it in the snack bin. Then when I think I'm going to get a handful of chips..
You'd think I'd learn by now! Now that I think about it..he does the same thing with Tony Packo's pickles. I very seldom eat them so I don't pay much attention..but sometimes we'll have a couple jars or more in the fridge with just one or two pickles floating around.
