Cook the bacon, crumble and set aside. Cook onion in the drippings. Add flour, sugar, salt, pepper, water, and vinegar. Bring to a boil, boil about a minute, stir in cooked sliced potatoes and crumbled bacon.

Not very healthful, but oh-so-good.
